veggies before noon

15 Jun

good morning! i have done quite a bit already today, which isn’t the norm. i’m trying to become a morning person and today was the first morning i was up and at ’em.

i started my morning with a fresh squeezed veggie juice.

this bad boy wasn’t the tastiest, but i loved getting all those nutrients into my system first thing.  way better than coffee!

i planned on hitting up the farmer’s market, but for some reason it was closed. 😦 however, the lansing city market is open until 6 tonight, so i plan on heading there after i babysit!

i ate breakfast a few hours after the juice, one of my favorite protein filled meals.

2 local eggs on a gluten free english muffin with strawberry jelly, topped with salt and pepper! i first tried this combo after reading about it over on caitlin’s blog, healthy tipping point. it sounds strange, but tastes great! i also had some grapes and a kiwi!

i love kiwi fuzz!

i’m outta here, have a fabulous day!!

what is your favorite breakfast?

I usually eat overnight oats or yogurt bowls on days when I have class and work, but it’s hard to beat a good egg sandwich!

I love that breakfast combo too…there’s something about salty, savoury eggs with sweet jam…yum!
